Information Technology

Like many in the IT world, I got my start “fixing computers” in 1996 while still in high school. I gradually developed my skills and knowledge and officially started my own business in the summer of 2000. While working out of the house, I performed service calls, upgrades, and custom built PCs to local businesses and individuals.

From 2000 through 2002, I pursued an Associate of Arts in Visual Communications degree as I wanted to better define my web design skills as more businesses wanted web site design services.

2002 through 2006 I worked as a freelance IT specialist and website designer. Working out of the house, I performed service calls for customers and businesses.

My first computer, the Commodore 64

In early 2007, I opened a brick-and-morter store “Just Digital” as my IT support services were reaching the point where working out of the house was no longer practical. Joining forces with my cousin Ryan, we worked together to serve the Owensville, Rosebud, and Gerald areas in computer repair, virus removal, networking, upgrades and security camera systems.

In 2008, Just Digital picked up Lost Valley Lake Resort as a client and I began providing them with IT support services and web design. This started as simply maintaining the computers, network and website, but eventually grew to include security camera installation and wiring new buildings.

As the needs of the resort continued to increase, Lost Valley Lake Resort offered me a full-time IT position in 2011.

Since 2011, I have continued to grow and improve the resort, including but not limited to projects including implementation of a new Salto electronic door lock system, replacing their aging resort software with SPI Orange, building an expansive intranet system with customized reports and tools for other departments, and the planning and installation of a new fiber optic network that connected all of the primary facilities onto one streamlined network.
